I want to take a poll:
If you wanted to play guitar in a church worship band, but were constantly frustrated by “not getting it quite right” – you know, not quite nailing the tone, or the delay, or whatever…
Would you be interested in subscribing to an online video archive, with in-depth, song specific tutorial videos on how to get it “right”? Do you think it would help your playing?
Please comment below. I’d be interested to see the results.

I would be interested, however…if I’m really honest, I would probably go to youtube to watch a song be played or pick it apart that way. But then again, i’m cheap…

to Jason Chandler:
youtube is a great tool for guitarists, but there are a few disadvantages:
1) the video hardly ever gives you the “in-depth” instruction that is sometimes necessary to get players on the right track.
2) the video and sound quality is always really bad. what if you had access to hi-def video lessons, with crystal clear audio quality?
3) youtube doesn’t have a tuner and metronome tool built into their site (like most online guitar sites do).
what if you could have all these issues solved with full access to a website and its videos? what if it were more affordable than guitar lessons at a music store?

I think the new GarageBand has some of these features…though I doubt the library is broad with worship tunes.

jowkeb,
I think it’s a great idea.
I probably should have clarified, that was more what “I” would do rather than my opinion of the idea.
I think that would be really helpful and efficient. Especially since the best practice comes from you do at home, anyone could get online to practice through the site.

**correction** comes from “what” you do at home

Jake, yes, I think it would be useful and helpful and it would help me to learn even more. Go for it!
